As a single homebuyer, there are many things that you can do to prepare yourself as you consider home ownership. Here's a list of tips to keep in mind to help you find the home that is right for you.

1. First consider your personality and lifestyle. Make a list of interests and hobbies that you have. What is important to you? Do you want to live where their are social activities available? Are you a beach lover, a tennis player, a golfer? Do you like a nearby fitness center, shopping area, cultural center? Do you want a home near your place of employment?
2. Assess your priorities and situation. Do you prefer a condo with low maintenance which usually has a community pool, or do you prefer a home with a private pool?

4. Consult your bank or loan officer so you will know what your budget will allow.
5. Invest into the kind of neighborhood you prefer. Your REALTOR® will help you research different neighborhoods and drive you around the area.
6. Determine what social setting will be most appealing to you and make your choice on that criteria.
